When I saw this for free I thought it would be a fun read to a toddler. Although many of the pictures were bottom heavy I still liked the clean lines and style of them. Then I tried to read. At first I read in my head but could not find a proper rhythm. Then I tried reading out loud and that is when my tongue got into trouble. A few of the verses have a nice rhythm, however most don't. In fact some made me stumble several times to try and say it smoothly. Then I went back and started counting syllables in lines and that is when I realized why I couldn't get a rhythm. There is no consistency. The first verse is 7 6 8 5 one would expect that the rest would follow that standard but they don't, sometimes not even close.It says it is a "Funny Rhyming Children's Picture Book" I will admit it is a Children's Picture Book.
